Maurice M. Levesque Obituary

Maurice M. Levesque, age 87, of Milford passed away in Milford Hospital on Sunday, July 22, 2018. He was born in Fort Fairfield, Maine on February 26, 1931 to the late Loomis K. and Doris Martin Levesque. He proudly served in the US Army where he was a Sergeant with the 187th Airborne Paratroopers and was an MP. Before retiring, he was employed as a tool and die maker for Burndy Corporation and later for Lacey Manufacturing. An active member of the community, he was one of the founding members of the Milford Riders, a member of the Pistol Team for Lacey Manufacturing, and avid bowler and card player, and enjoyed fixing and repairing everything around the house. Mr. Levesque is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Eleanor Urick Levesque, his devoted sons, Kenneth Levesque and his wife Anne Marie of Milford and Charles Levesque and his wife Sharon of Orange, dedicated daughter Maura Barbano and her husband Guy Jr. of Milford, sister Dorothy Mitchell, grandchildren Stephanie, Sarah, Jenna and John Levesque, Guy III and Giovanni Barbano, great grandchildren Jameson, Lilly and Brayden. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Delmar Levesque and sister Nadine Levesque. Calling hours are Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 27th at 10 am DIRECTLY at Christ the Redeemer Church, 325 Oronoque Road, Milford. Interment will follow at King’s Highway Cemetery, Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 200 Executive Blvd. S., #4b, Southington, CT 06489.
