Maurice Rogers Jr., 82, of Los Angeles, California died on Sunday, February 7th. Born in Orange, CT March 15, 1927 he was the son of the late Maurice Rogers and Harriet Woodruff Rogers. He grew up in Orange and he graduated from Cheshire Academy. Maury served in the army in Germany in 1945 and 1946. Survivors include his daughters Diane D. Rogers of Oakland, CA and Cheryl Castiglione of Hamden, CT; his granddaughters Pamela and Emily Lutin; his siblings Frank C W Rogers of Orange, Julia Schen of Royal Oak, MD, Mrs. Grant Saylor of Issaquah, WA, Harriet Wood of Louisville, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Jonathan W Rogers of El Paso, Texas. Maury moved to Los Angeles in 1963 and he was self employed in commercial real estate in Los Angeles for many years. Calling hours will be at the home of his brother Frank Rogers at 238 Old Grassy Hill Road in Orange Friday evening 4-6:30. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Services will be held Saturday morning 9:30 at the Orange Center Cemetery.
