Patrick “Paddy” O’Neill, age 84, of Milford passed away in his home on Tuesday, January 05, 2010. He was born on July 16, 1925 in Belfast, Ireland to the late Francis and Ellen Lidster O’Neill. Before retiring, he was the owner of O’Neill Quality Meats in Milford. A devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather, he is survived by his wife, of 55 years, Kathleen Curran O’Neill, children Hugh O’Neill and his wife Frances of Milford, Peter O’Neill and his wife Pam of West Haven, Ellen Roberson and her husband Pat of SC, Kathy Flannagan and her husband Chris, Una O’Neill, Elizabeth O’Neill, Margaret O’Neill and Patrick O’Neill all of Milford, 19 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by brothers Hugh and George of Milford, 3 sisters of Ireland and granddaughter Amanda O’Neill of Milford. Calling hours are 4 to 8pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford on Friday, January 8, 2010. Friends are invited to go DIRECTLY to St. Gabriel’s Church, Broadway, Milford to celebrate A Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 9th at 12:30pm.
