Richard Filakovsky, age 50, of Milford, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Connecticut Hospice. He was born on April 1, 1963, in Bridgeport, to the late Joseph and Rose (Malafronte) Filakovsky. He attended special education classes though the Milford Education System. Richard is survived by his brother Joseph Filakovsky of Milford and sisters Rose vanderVelden of Sunrise, FL. and Barbara Filakovsky of Milford. Calling hours are Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford with a prayer service at 11:00 am.
