Richard J. Rome, age 81, of Milford passed away on Friday, July 2, 2010 in Milford Hospital. He was born on July 14, 1928 in Scranton, PA to the late Charles and Laura Corell Rome. Before retiring, he was employed as an electrician for Sikorsky Aircraft for many years. He was a member of the V.F.W. 7788 of Devon and Ansantawae Lodge # 89 Milford. Mr. Rome is survived by his son Robert J. Rome of Milford, three grandchildren Niki, Kaitlyn and Kimberly, two great grandchildren Ashlee & Carlee and son-in-law Kenneth R. Holmes. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a daughter Barbara J. Holmes. Calling hours will be held Tuesday July 6, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. Interment will be private.
