Richard Paul Sutphin Sr., age 70, of Milford, passed away on Thursday June 20, 2013, at the Masonic Healthcare Center in Wallingford. He was born Feb. 1, 1943 to the late Richard and Catherine Sutphin. Richard is survived by his son Richard and daughter Denise(Joseph) Tiberio of Milford, as well as his beloved grandchildren Olivia and Joey Tiberio. He was predeceased by his sisters Mary and Betty. Richard graduated from Hamden High School and later went on to become the Director of Pulmonary Care at Easter Seals in Bridgeport, CT. Affectionately called “Golden Boy” by dear friends, Richard loved the beach, NASCAR , fishing and the Yankees. A Prayer Service will be held Tuesday, June 25, at 11:00 am. Friends may call from 10:00 am until time of service at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. Interment will follow at Kings Highway Cemetery in Milford.
