Robert Earl Jaser, age 86, of Orange passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Milford on May 8, 1930, he was the son of the late John and Doya Azzam Jaser. Robert proudly served in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Machinist’s Mate, Third Class. He leaves behind his brother John Jaser, sister-in-law Patricia Jaser (Edward), nieces and nephews, Diana Korenchuk, Donna (Rob) Pala, Janet Korenchuk, Linda Jaser, Karen (Gene) Telker, James (Lisa) Jaser, Robin (Vic) Delieto, John Michael (Karen) Jaser, Kevin (Tracie) Jaser, Tracey Korenchuk and many great nieces and nephews, cousins and his beloved cat Belinda. Besides his parents, Robert was predeceased by his brothers Fred and Edward Jaser and sister Jean Korenchuk. Robert was retired from Sikorsky where he worked as a Sikorsky Rep on the Presidential fleet for President Lyndon B Johnson along with many assignments around the world. He enjoyed golf and target shooting along with time with his family and friends. He is also a lifetime member of the Elks Club, the National Rifle Association, and a supporter of many charities. A Memorial Service will be held at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 10am with Reverend Dr. Brian Bodt. Friends and family may call from 9:30 to 10am on Saturday, July 16th. Interment will follow in King’s Highway Cemetery, Milford with full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the CT Hospice Home Care at 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
