Robert Paul Warren, Sr., age 69, of Milford, passed away on December 15, 2010 in Connecticut Hospice in Branford, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Joyce Dellmuth Warren for 45 years. He was born in Bridgeport to the late Stanley and Ruth Clark Warren and resided in Milford for most of his life, where he was a self-employed plumber for 49 years. He proudly served in the US Navy, aboard the aircraft carrier “Independence” during the Cuban Crisis. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son Robert Warren, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Beacon Falls, daughter Donna Brotherton and her husband Scott of Milford, grandchildren Meike, Brotherton, Carl Brotherton, Hallee Brotherton and Bobby Warren, brother Richard Warren of Monroe, sister Linda Fino of Milford and several nephews. He will be missed by his furry friends: Mel, Banjo and Bella. Calling hours are Friday, December 17, 2010 from 4 to 8pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405 or Trinity Lutheran Church, 21 Robert Treat Parkway, Milford, CT 06460.
