Roman Skolozdra age 72 of Palm Beach Gardens, FL formerly of Milford, CT passed away September 14, 2017 with his longtime love by his side. He spent his final days at TrustBridge Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer. Roman was born July 28, 1945 in the former country of Czechoslovakia immigrating to the U.S when he was 4 years old; a son of the late Stefan and Sophie (Kustodowicz) Skolozdra. Roman moved to Palm Beach Gardens in 2010 after retiring from running his own successful construction company for over 40 years. Roman was very proud of his Ukrainian heritage and enjoyed his times traveling there to visit family. He valued family above all else, but also enjoyed cooking, music, nature and playing with the latest gadgets. He is survived by his longtime love Larissa Lincoln of Palm Beach Gardens; 2 sons, Robert (Shirley) Skolozdra of Hamden Ct and Michael (April) Skolozdra of Oxford CT; seven grandchildren, Stefan, Benjamin, Ashley, Jessica, Caitlin, Emma and Chase; a sister Olga (Ed) Terwilliger of Oxford, CT and a brother Stephen (Robin) Skolozdra of Terryville, CT; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Graveside memorial service will be held Saturday October 21st at 10:30 AM at Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport.
