Rosalie Russello, 82, of Milford, entered into God’s Heavenly Kingdom on Thursday, March 22, 2012 in the Milford Hospital Hospice Wing from Alzheimer’s disease. She was the beloved wife of Edward E. Russello of Milford for 62 years. Mrs. Russello was born in Bridgeport Hospital on January 4, 1930, daughter of the late Mary Lattanzi. She was educated in the Bridgeport School System. Living is Milford for 51 years, she loved traveling, swimming, ceramics and collectibles. However, first and foremost to Mrs. Russello was her love and passion for her family. She was a homemaker for several years taking pleasure in cooking, baking and always having an open house to her children’s friends, as well as all the neighborhood children. She was a lady who was filled beyond words with so much love for all, as well as her strong love of animals. She worked at Alexander’s Department Store and the Hartford Insurance Co., where she retired in 1995. Beside her husband, she is survived by her daughters Cynthia M. Russello of West Haven, JoAnn Anton of Shelton and Rosemarie Russello Civitello of Milford, son-in-law Richard Anton of Shelton, beloved grandchildren Keith Civitello age 28, David Anton age 26, Kyle Civitello age 25 and Cassandra Anton age 23. The family would like to thank Milford Hospital’s Hospice Unit for their wonderful care and compassion in making Mrs. Russello’s final days serene and peaceful. All her arrangements are with the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 26, 2012 DIRECTLY in St. Mary’s Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford at 10:30am. Followed by a private burial. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made on Mrs. Russello’s behalf to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 2911 Dixwell Ave., Suite 104, Hamden, CT 06518.
