Russell j. Schell, age 72, of Milford, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2009 in his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Irma Davis Schell. Mr. Schell was employed by American Finance as a small loan officer for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Milford ELKS Lodge # 1589. Survivors include his children, Robin Becker of St. Croix, VI, Russell Schell III of West Haven, Joseph Schell of Milford and Rhonda Kirschner of West Haven, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife, he is predeceased by a granddaughter Laura Becker and two sisters. Calling hours are Thursday, April 16, 2009 from 5 to 7pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. A prayer service will be held Friday in the funeral home at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery.
