Scott Burrows, age 56, a lifelong resident of Milford, passed away at home after a long battle with lung cancer. He died surrounded by his loving family on April 6, 2015. Scott was born in Milford on September 26, 1958 to his parents Bud and Ginger Kelly Burrows. Besides his parents, he is survived by his cherished children David, Amanda, Michael, the love of his life Nicole, his brother Brian and his dog Duke. Scott was predeceased by his brother Gary. Scott graduated from Milford High where he was an outstanding athlete. He was an avid softball player and a coach for several teams. He went on to Central Conn. College. Scott worked for the City of Milford as a driver for 23 years. He always bragged that he and three other employees built The Fowler Pavilion. He will be remembered for the way he always lent a helping hand and put others before himself. He was a jack of all trades and devoted his life to his children. Scott will be missed by his many aunts, cousins and lots of friends. Calling hours are Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 4 to 8 pm at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. A Prayer Service will be held Friday, April 10, 2015 at 10:30 am at the funeral home with Reverend Cynthia Knapp officiating from St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. Interment will be private.
