Stephen Pujda Jr.

Stephen J. Pujda Jr., age 79, of Milford, beloved husband of the late Anita Bodnar Pujda, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2009 in St. Raphael’s Hospital. He was born in Stratford, Connecticut on January 12, 1930, to the late Stephen J. Sr. and Helen Piskura Pujda. Mr. Pujda was a Foreman at Raybestos for many years and upon retirement worked as a caretaker for the Milford Cemetery Association. He is survived by his devoted children , Deborah and her husband Michael Puglia of Wallingford, Mark Pujda of Canaan, a sister Theresa Baske of New Milford, five grandchildren, Michael Puglia, Elyse Puglia, Stephen Pujda, Ashley Pujda and Amanda Pujda with whom he shared his home. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. All services will be private and at the convenience of the family. The arrangements are in the care of Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
