Susan Faggiana

Susan Mary Faggiana, age 85, of West Haven, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2010 in the Hospital of St. Raphael’s in New Haven. A life long West Haven resident, she was born on January 1, 1925 to the late Vincenzo and Maria Fertiguerra Pergolatto. She was employed during WWII at Armstrong Rubber, after which she worked for Colonial Pharmacy of West Haven for 30 years. Susan will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and Yankee fan. Mrs. Faggiana is survived by her loving children James Faggiana and his wife Sandra of Woodbridge and Joan Marchesseault and her husband Ernest of Cheshire, grandchildren Alexandra Faggiana, Anthony Faggiana and Andre Marchesseault, sisters Anne D’Amico, Julia Ferrie and Mary Kelly and her husband Edward, sister-in-law Olga Sega and her husband John, all of West Haven, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Gene Faggiana, sister Connie Pastore, brothers Edward, Manuel and James. Calling hours are Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 4 to 7pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 31, 2010 in Our Lady of Victory, 600 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven, CT at 11:00am. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Soc., 825 Brook St., Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
