Terrance “Osahada” Manning, age 36, of Milford passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2009. Terry was born on March 19, 1973 to Arthur Terrance House Jr. of Belfast, ME and Linda Velky Gray of Milford in Bridgeport. He attended Foran High School and was self employed in the construction business. An active individual, he was a member and caretaker for the Schaghticoke Tribal Nation in Kent, CT. He enjoyed creating Indian jewelry, baskets and clay art. In his spare time, he enjoyed track and field and loved working on cars and boats. Besides his parents, he is survived by his children Skylar Manning of Milford and Terrance “TJ” Manning of West Haven, brothers Paul Manning of Milford, Tyler House, Seneca House both of Florida and Mark House of Belfast, ME, sister Kateri Manning of Farmington, stepfathers Gary Gray of Milford and Michael Manning of VT, stepmother Yvonne House of Belfast, ME, stepsisters Elizabeth Gray of Milford and Marie Reuter of Stratford, beloved maternal grandmother Catherine Velky of Shelton and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Calling hours are Saturday, April 11, 2009 from 5 to 8pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. A funeral service will be held during the calling hours at the funeral home. Interment will take place on Tuesday, April 14th at 2pm at the Schaghticoke Reservation Cemetery, Schaghticoke Rd., Kent, CT. Contributions may be made at a later date for the Skylar Manning Education Fund.
