Thomas Fearnley
Thomas Howard Fearnley, age 73, of Milford, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2011 in Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born in Vallejo, CA to the late Harold Mathies and Isabella Woods Fearnley on July 30, 1938. He proudly served in the US Navy and was employed as a machinist for Sikorski Aircraft before retiring. Mr. Fearnley is survived by his devoted daughters Michele and Gary Mauritz, Cynthia Natowski (Edward Visconti) and Christina Wing (Matthew Bennett) all of Milford, dedicated son David Nichols (Aleda Kleckner) of Huntersville, NC, brother Mike Fearnley of Milford, sister Lynn Boston of Stratford, 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren along with his puppy Emma. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his loving wife Virginia Catherine Gumbrewicz Fearnley and brothers Ronald, Richard & Roland Fearnley. Mr. Fearnley will be remembered for his commitment to his family, friends and his teams, the Giants and Yankees. Calling hours are Tuesday, November 15, 2011 from 4 to 8pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 16 at 10am in Trinity Lutheran Church, Robert Treat Parkway, Milford. Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery with military honors.
