Victoria Louise Arteta, age 55, of West Haven and Milford passed away on Monday, July 23, 2012 in Milford Hospital. She was born in Milford on December 31, 1956 to the late Albert and Phyllis Cavanaugh Munroe. She was employed by Prudential Insurance as an executive secretary. Queen Victoria ( AKA Corona) loved fishing, softball and her family and friends. Mrs. Arteta is survived by her loving husband Eugene Arteta, devoted son Eugene Arteta Jr. of West Haven, dedicated brothers Al Munroe and John Munroe both of Milford, father-in-law Eugene J. Arteta Jr. of Florida and several nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will meet on Friday August 3rd 2012 at the Albert “Bert” Munroe Fishing Pier at Walnut Beach from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Interment will be private. Donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 38 Richards Ave., Norwalk, CT 06854.
