William Ehalt

William C. Ehalt Jr., age 70 of Orange, beloved husband of Lita M. Gomez-Ehalt of 48 years, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 11, 2011 in St. Raphael’s Hospital. He was born on April 26, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York to the late William C. Ehalt Sr., and Rose Cusa Ehalt. Before retiring Bill was President of Magazine Shippers Association, GEM Developement and Cargo Handlers Association. Bill was a former President of the Connecticut Hunter and Jumper Assoc., and former Commodore of the Saybrook Yacht Club. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children William C. Ehalt III of Fairfield, Christine J. Ehalt of New Haven and Robert M. Ehalt of Milford, a sister Ellen Kreuzkamp of Orange, grandchildren William C. Ehalt IV and Alexander J. Ehalt of Fairfield and Gibson T. Ehalt of Milford, nephews Gus Kreuzkamp, Matthew Kreuzkamp and niece, Laura Kreuzkamp. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 8pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday June 17, 2011 at 11am in Holy Infant Church Orange. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peters Cemetery Derby. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
