Albertina Tigeleiro

Naugatuck-Albertina (Lopes) Tigeleiro, 84, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2011 at her home. She was the widow of Francisco C. Tigeleiro. Mrs. Tigeleiro was born on December 16, 1926 in Murtosa, Portugal a daughter of the late Angelo and Albertina (Pereira) Lopes. She was retired from T.F. Butterfield where she worked for many years. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church. She is survived by one daughter, Maria DaSilva of Naugatuck, two sons, Manuel J. Tigeleiro of West Palm Beach, FL and Frank P. Tigeleiro of Naugatuck, one sister, Anna DaSilva of Naugatuck, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Mafalda Carinha and one brother Jose Lopes. The funeral will be held on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street for a mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery.
