Naugatuck-Mr. Andrew Federonis, 90, of 85 Hilltop Rd, passed away May 30, 2010 at home. He was the widower of Alice (Przybyloski) Federonis. Mr. Federonis was born December 3, 1919 in Waterbury, a son of the late John and Anna (Kopcha) Federonis He was a life-long Naugatuck resident and retired after 40 years from Uniroyal Footwear. He was an Army vetreran serving during World War II. His decorations and citations include the Purple Heart, the European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, the European Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He was a communicant of St. Francis Church. Andrew is survived by a daughter, Elaine (Federonis) Skehan and her husband Tom of Naugatuck. One grandson Shawn Skehan of Simsbury. Two sisters, Pauline Morrissey and Melvena "Babe" Cronen both of Naugatuck. Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers George and Charles Federonis and one sister Rose Hanley. A private graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11 A.M. with full military honors at St. James Cemetery.Cross St. Naugatuck.There are no calling hours and the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave , Naugatuck are assisting with the arrangements.
