Mrs. Angeline M. Marinello AARP trips coordinator NAUGATUCK — Mrs. Angeline M. (Maccioca) Marinello, age 98, of 79 North Hoadley St., died Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the Glendale Center in Naugatuck. She was the widow of Joseph N. (Hootsie) Marinello. Mrs. Marinello was born in Derby on April 9,1913, a daughter of the late Paolo and Filomena (Lupone) Maccioca. She was retired from the Uniroyal Inc. Footwear Division in Naugatuck, where she had worked for more than 35 years. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Naugatuck, a member and past president of the Cristoforo Columbo Society Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the AARP No. 495, having served for many years as the trips and tours coordinator. She was an avid reader and spent countless hours at the library. Mrs. Marinello is survived by one son, Joseph Marinello and his wife Diana of Wethersfield; two grandchildren, Michele Driscoll and her husband Terence of Sherborn, Mass. and Joseph Marinello II and his wife Clarice of West Warwick, R.I.; three great-grandchildren, Caitlin and Patrick Driscoll and Joseph Nicholas Marinello and her godson, Frank Nuzzolo of Stratford. Mrs. Marinello's family would like to thank the nurses, aides and medical team at the Glendale Center for the outstanding care that they provided. The funeral will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St.. Naugatuck for a Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to either: St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck CT 06770 or Howard Whittemore Memorial Library. 243 Church St., Naugatuck, CT 06770.
