Arthur J. Clark

Naugatuck - Arthur J. Clark, 92 years old, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Blanche (Thurston) Clark. Mr. Clark was born on December 7, 1921 in Waterbury, son of the late John and Elizabeth (Fitzpatrick) Clark. He was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Providence College, December 1942, after which he entered the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a veteran of the 5th Marine Division, which participated in invasion of Iwo Jima. He retired as a self-employed Public Accountant. Besides his wife of 68 years, he is survived by three sons, Arthur Clark Jr. and his wife Arlene, Jeffery Clark and his wife Denise, and Charles Clark and his wife Roberta. He is also survived by two daughters, Marilyn Pellett and her husband Lawrence, and Sharon Clark. He will also be missed by his six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is survived by his sister, Alice Winter and predeceased by three brothers, John, Emmett and Charles. The funeral mass will be private, and the burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
