Mrs. Bernice Rossi Loving wife, mother, grandmother NAUGATUCK - Mrs. Bernice (Hynes) Rossi, age 81, of Naugatuck, died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of Ermando Rossi. Mrs. Rossi was born in Ansonia on July 17, 1930, a daughter of the late Samuel and Abigail Hynes. She retired from Uniroyal Inc. Footwear Division in Naugatuck where she had worked for 34 years, and she had also worked at Sperry Automatics in Naugatuck for 17 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and watching them excel in sports. She was a communicant of St. Vincent Ferrer Church in Naugatuck. Mrs. Rossi is survived by a daughter, Janet Ford and her husband, Larry, of Waterbury; a son, Jody Rossi and his wife, Georganne, of Norwalk; a granddaughter, Colleen West, and three great-grandchildren, Blake West, Brooke West and Blaise West. She is also survived by her granddogs, Phoebe Rossi and Amy Rossi, and her grandcats, Katie Rossi and Myra Rossi. Private funeral services and burial in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or to PAWS Connecticut Animal Shelter, P.O.
