Carol A. Sawicki — Full time mom, loving wife NAUGATUCK — Carol A. Sawicki, age 68, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Saint Mary's Hospital after battling a long illness. Carol was born Sept. 20, 1944, in Bridgeport, Conn., to the late William and Mildred (Kusha) Wilson. Before moving to Naugatuck, she lived in Bridgeport and Stratford. Carol was a devoted full time mom and loving wife. Throughout her life she enjoyed her time as a Girl Scout leader and dance mom. She enjoyed watching Syracuse basketball and the Patriots and Red Sox with her beloved late cousin Ronnie. She also loved visits from her furry grandkids Pixie and Tux. She is survived by her husband, Anthony, of 41 years, and her daughters, Alison of Naugatuck, with whom she made her home, and Colleen Bezanson and her son-in-law, Brian, of Uncasville. Carol is also survived by an aunt, Jean Bruchalski of Bridgeport, and several cousins. Funeral services and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101-9950.Obituary
