Carolyn Searles

Ansonia-Carolyn Searles, 62, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Griffin Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Carolyn was born on June 11, 1951 in Biddeford, ME a daughter of the late Harry Searles and Laura (Goodwin) Searles of Bethany. She was a member of TOPS, Valley Voices and was part of the Special Olympics. She worked at the George Hegyi Training Center in Derby for over 40 years. Besides her mother Laura, she is survived by four brothers, John Searles of Shelton, Richard Searles of Oxford, Rodney Searles and his wife Karen of Seymour and Brian Searles and his wife Beth of Naugatuck. She will also be missed by, several nieces and nephews as well as, one great niece and one great nephew, one great-great niece and one great-great nephew and her god child, Brianna. She was predeceased by her sister in law, Geraldine Searles. A memorial service will be held at Pinebrook Assembly of God, 175 City Hill Street, Naugatuck on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m. The Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to VARCA, Inc., 5 Coon Hollow Rd, Derby CT 06418.
