Carolyn H. (Sargeant) Wilcox 1931 - 2020 Naugatuck, CT Carolyn (Sargeant) Wilcox, 88, the widow of Robert Wilcox, passed away on May 10, 2020 at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Wilcox was born on June 5, 1931 in Union City, CT the daughter of the late Elliot and Helen (McDermott) Sargeant and had lived in Union City and Naugatuck all of her life. She worked at Uniroyal and retired as a school cafeteria worker for the Town of Naugatuck, Board of Education. She is survived by her children, Sharon Wilcox and her fiancé Michael Chilinski, Carolyn Starziski and her fiancé Sam Wren, Tricia Wilcox, Dennis Wilcox and his wife, Nadia and Casey Wilcox; her grandchildren, Kelly Hiltz and her husband Geoff Hiltz, Shannon L. Wilcox and her husband, Bill Cook, Bridgette Wilcox, Brian Chilinski, Robert Wilcox and Nathan Starziski; her great grandchildren, Charlie, Madison and Connor; her brother, Fred Sargeant and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. Wilcox was predeceased by her sons, Bobby Wilcox and Tommy Wilcox; her granddaughter, Carrie Wilcox; her daughter in law, Debbie Wilcox and her beloved dog of 13 years, Gizzy. Services will be private, there are no calling hours and burial will be in St. James Cemetery. A memorial Mass will be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck. In lieu of flowers and to honor Carolyn’s memory, donations can be made to the Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center, 1075 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT 06708.
