Clifford Teeple

NAUGATUCK — Clifford A. Teeple Jr., 82, of 53 Conrad St., died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010, at the Glendale Center after a long illness. Mr. Teeple was born on May 28, 1928, in Waterbury, a son of the late Clifford A. and Maryann (Mack) Teeple Sr. He was a former engineer with the Bristol-Babcock Co. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Marine Corps League. He is survived by two daughters, Hannah Clark and her husband, John, of Naugatuck and Ruth Teeple-Duff and her spouse, Mary, of Naugatuck; one son, Robert Teeple and his wife, Sheila, of Maine; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, William Teeple, and a daughter, Mary Louise Teeple. Private graveside services with full military honors will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 25, at the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck, on Tuesday evening, Aug. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to VITAS Hospice Care, Unit C, 1579 Straits Turnpike, Middlebury 06762.
