Waterbury - Craig M. Kelly, 61, son of the late Raymond J. Kelly and the late Edwina (Anderson) Carpentieri passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 after a long illness. He was the husband of Barbara (Damato) Kelly of 22 years. Craig was born in Springfield, MA. He was a resident of Waterbury, CT most of his life. He served in the United States Army from 1966-1972, having served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He took great pride in working with his hands and was a meticulous carpenter. He was also a member of the VFW Post 201. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two step-daughters, Karen Allington and Kimberly Mancini of Waterbury, a step-son Philip Allington of Norwalk, six grandchildren, Amilyn, Meagan, Anthony, Katelyn, Ashlee and Luke all of Waterbury. He is also survived by his brother Patrick Kelly of Waterbury, and two sisters Dawn Kelly of Plainville and Andrea Petrario of Waterbury, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Winter F. Kelly and Wayne A. Kelly. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of the Intensive Care Unit of St. Mary's Hospital. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Rd, Rte. 69, Prospect from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
