Daniel F. Leary Risdon Mfg. retiree NAUGATUCK — Daniel F. "Dib" Leary, 92, formerly of Naugatuck, died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010, at Waterbury Hospital after a brief illness. He was the widower of Wanda (Newbold) Leary. Mr. Leary was born Oct. 9, 1918, in Naugatuck, son of the late Daniel and Bridget (Dalton) Leary. He was a retired employee of the Risdon Mfg. Co. where he had worked for over 48 years. He was a graduate of Naugatuck High School, a member of the Naugatuck Lodge of Elks, Hop Brook Golf Club and a former member of the Cha-Rum-Bo Ballroom Dance Club in Waterbury. He was a communicant of St. Francis Church. He is survived by a daughter, Donna Cubelli and her husband, Louis, of Trumbull; one sister, Marie Joy of Naugatuck; his longtime companion, Bette Bergin of Waterbury; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck, to St. Francis Church for a Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery.
