Lakeland, Florida. Diane L. Hurst 55 passed away at The Connerton Long Term Acute Care Hospital in Florida on January 4, 2013. She was the wife of Preston M. Hurst. Diane was born on February 18, 1957 In Waterbury . She was the daughter of Elizabeth (Manthey) Sousa and the late John Sousa of Naugatuck . She was a graduate of Naugatuck High School . Diane worked as a Respiratory Therapist for 37 years for various facilities in Connecticut and Florida . In addition to her husband of 23 years and mother, she leaves a son Jonathan Hurst of Lakeland , Florida, 2 brothers Mark and his wife Joyce Sousa of Thomaston and John Sousa Jr of Naugatuck. Diane also leaves a very dear friend who has been like a sister to her Dawn King and her husband Michael of Roanoke Virginia along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Diane will be held on Friday morning at 11:A.M. at The Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 82 Fairview Ave Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4:30P.M. to 7:P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
