Naugatuck - Mrs. Dolores Ann (Shandrowski) Schroeder, age 68, of 49 Shadduck Road, died Friday November 20,2009 at the Glendale Center in Naugatuck after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Schroeder was born in Bridgeport, Ct. on August 20,1941 a daughter of the late Theodore Stanley and Anna Margaret (Brezina) Shandrowski. She was retired from the State of Connecticut Department of Public Works where she worked as a Purchasing Services Officer I handling bidding and contracts. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Naugatuck and was a member of the Kollege Kapers. She enjoyed singing, reading, gardening, cooking and most of all spending time with her loving family and friends. Mrs. Schroeder is survived by a daughter: Cindy Hubyk and her husband John of Naugatuck, a son: Kenneth Schroeder of the United Kingdom, two brothers: Theodore "Sonny" Shandrowski of Milford and Paul Shandrowski of Massachusetts, two granddaughters: Jennifer Ann Maida and Stacy Marie Maida both of Naugatuck and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister: Susan Dunn with whom she was very close. The funeral will be held on Tuesday November 24, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 82 Fairview Ave. Naugatuck to St. Francis of Assisi Church 318 Chuirch St. Naugatuck for a mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck.
