Dorothy (Hubbell) Bienvenue, 87, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Miller Memorial in Meriden from complications of a stroke. She was predeceased by her loving husband of forty-eight years, Irving R. Bienvenue. Dorothy was born on February 22, 1923 in Naugatuck, CT. She lived in Prospect, CT for 52 years and later lived in Cheshire, CT. She is survived by her son James Bienvenue of Swan Lake, MT and her daughters, Linda Smith of Gray, ME, Nancy Milano of Meriden, CT, Janet Krasinski of Boulder, MT, Jean Messier of Chandler, AZ and Ellen Wagner of Branford, CT. She was also predeceased by her son, Irving Raymond Bienvenue, Jr., her sisters Lois Griggs and Maylah Burke and a brother, Warren Hubbell. She was grandmother to eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren and had several nieces and nephews including Carolyn Pishna of Prospect, Ct. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 11:00am at the Prospect Congregational Church, Prospect, CT. Friends and family are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours and the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Prospect is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions can made to: the Prospect Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 7001, Prospect, CT 06712 and the Prospect Public Library, 17 Center Street, Prospect CT 06712.
