Waterbury, CT Dorothy (Golds) Riccio, 88, formerly of Madison, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the Village at East Farms in Waterbury, CT. Dorothy was born March 29, 1926 in Scranton, PA a daughter of the late Joseph and Adeline (Oneil) Ilgavyzius. Dorothy lived most of her adult life in Morris County, NJ; having proudly worked as a nurse at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. Dorothy was a devoted animal lover who cared for many family pets throughout her life. She held a very special place in her heart for Rufus, her beloved Jack Russell. Dorothy is survived by her son, Joseph Sanzari, her daughter-in-law Dina (Forchielli) Sanzari, and her grandsons, Justin Sanzari and Dillon Sanzari all of Waterbury, CT. She was predeceased by the love of her life Humbert (Al) Riccio and her sister Betty Helme. She also leaves her sister in law Florence Favilla of Forked River, as well as many nieces and nephews; especially James Riccio of Nutley, NJ and Gilda Favilla of Sausalito, CA. All services are private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
