Naugatuck-Elaine R. (Roudie) Curran, 85 passed away with her family at her side at St. Mary's Hospital on Friday, March 11, 2011. She was the loving wife of James F. Curran for 64 years. Elaine was born on March 15, 1920 in Meriden. She was a Wallingford native the daugher of the late Thomas and Anna Roudie. She was a former member of the Naugatuck Democratic Town Committee and a member of the Connecticut State Democratic Committee. She was also a member of the Naugatuck Women's Club and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was retired after a lengthy career at the World War II Veteran's Memorial Hospital in Meriden. Besides her husband of Naugatuck she is survived by her son Thomas of Wallingford and her daughter Nancy of West Hartford. She was predeceased by her sister Annmae Klinski. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 338 N. Main St, Naugatuck on Wednesday, March 16, 2011. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours and the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck is in charge of arrangements.
