Mrs. Enes V. Mecca Funeral Friday WATERBURY — Mrs. Enes V. (Poli) Mecca, 85, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Saint Mary's Hospital. Mrs. Mecca was born in Waterbury on Jan. 15, 1926, a daughter of the late Angelo and Lena (Pesente) Poli. Beloved wife of Thomas Mecca for 56 years. Loving mother of Linda LaChance and her husband, David, of Prospect, and Susan Girard and her husband, Gregory, of New York. Cherished grandmother to Thomas Girard, Nicolette LaChance, Kevin Girard and David LaChance. Dear sister to Sylvia Grabowski of Waterbury and Anita Ford of Waterbury. She was predeceased by a sister, Marie Morrone. Devoted aunt of several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2011, from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck, to St. John of the Cross Church, Middlebury, for a Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, June 10, 2011, from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Mrs. Mecca's family would like thank the staff at Saint Mary's Hospital for the compassionate care that they provided throughout her illness.
