Naugatuck-Florence (Shumacher) Mastrogiannis, 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital. Florence was born on May 30, 1928 in Ansonia. She was retired from SNET where she worked as a Telephone Operator for many years. She is survived by one son, George Mastrogiannis and his wife Christine Caruso of Woodside, NY, her partner, Fred Perillo of Naugatuck, two sisters, Theo Hammack of Prospect and Margaret Lesiw of N.C, four brothers, George Schumacher of VA,William Schumacher of Shelton, Bob Schumacher of CA and Vincent Schumacher of Ansonia. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 3 p.m. at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
