NAUGATUCK, CT Frederick Sandt, 79, formerly of 480 Millville Avenue, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Beacon Brook Health Center. Fred was born on October 29, 1935 in Chicago, IL a son of the late Charles Q. and Christine (Benz) Sandt. Fred lived in Naugatuck most of his life. He was a dedicated employee of the Bristol Company retiring in 1987. Fred is survived by his nieces, Deborah Wheelahan of Watertown, CT and Tina O’Connor of Naugatuck, CT; his nephews, Thomas Sandt of Tonawanda, NY and Allan Sandt of Waterbury, CT and several grand nieces and grand nephews. Mr. Sandt was predeceased by his brother, Allan Sandt. Funeral services and burial are private and there are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue.
