Grace Sederquest

PROSPECT — Mrs. Grace Ellen (Sargent) Sederquest, 89, of 22 Masonic Ave., Wallingford, died Thursday, June 10, 2010, at her home. She was the widow of Edward L. Sederquest Jr. Mrs. Sederquest was born in Newmarket, N.H., on Feb. 16, 1921, a daughter of the late Paul N. and Ethelyn (Beane) Sargent. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, enjoyed knitting, crocheting and watching NASCAR, especially her favorite driver, Rusty Wallace. She also loved her toy poodle, Adair. Mrs. Sederquest is survived by three daughters, Ellie Held of East Sandwich, Mass., Nancy Schuster of Norwich, and Barbara Rowe of Prospect; two sons, Edward Sederquest III of Tolland, and Richard Sederquest of Bradenton, Fla.; two sisters, Florence Tupper of Texas, and Mabelle Mullen of Virginia; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2010, at Prospect Congregational Church, 25 Center St., Prospect. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Liver Transplant Fund for her great-grandson, Andrew Kreger, c/o Peoples Bank, 624 West Main St., Norwich 06360.
