Mrs. Helen Bolek Uniroyal Footwear retiree NAUGATUCK — Mrs. Helen (Jablonowski) Bolek, 95, formerly of Malgari Court, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Brandywine Assisted Living Facility in Litchfield. She was predeceased by her husband, John Bolek. Mrs. Bolek was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., on Dec. 28, 1915, a daughter of the late John and Jennie (Gancarek) Jablonowski. She was retired after 34 years of service from the Uniroyal Inc. Footwear Division in Naugatuck. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Naugatuck. Mrs. Bolek is survived by two sons, Raymond J. Bolek and his wife, Dorothy, of South Kent, and Robert J. Bolek and his wife, Delia, of Naugatuck. She is also survived by a sister, Sophie Butler of Naugatuck, six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Walter Jablonowski and Stephen Jablonowski, and two sisters, Jennine Petrow and Agnes Houle. A funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011, at St. Hedwig's Roman Catholic Church, 32 Golden Hill St., Naugatuck. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck.
