Helen A. Collette Waterbury native GLASTONBURY — Helen A. (Ashe) Collette, 71, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, in the Vitas Hospice Unit at Saint Mary's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born on Feb. 3, 1941, in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Joseph E. Ashe and Eugenia (Rosier) Ashe. She was retired after working as an administrative accounting assistant for many years. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and, most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren. Helen is survived by her children, Glenn Genest and his wife Lisa of Glastonbury, Carla Rosato and her husband Peter of Prospect, and Scott Genest and his wife Rebecca of DeBary, Fla.; her siblings, Richard Ashe, Patricia Stethem, Lora Perrone and Margaret Ashe; and nine grandchildren. She was predeceased by her other siblings, Paula Josephine, James Edward and Yvonne Sarah. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2012, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 3:45 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
