Prospect - Mrs. Helen M. (Riegler) DeLeon, age 98, of 6 Karyl Lane, died Saturday May 29, 2010 at The Paradigm Health Care Center of Prospect. Mrs. DeLeon was born in Clevelend, Ohio on October 9,1911 daughter of the late John and Georgia (Lininger) Riegler. She was retired from Robertshaw Controls in Waterbury and was a communicant of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Prospect. She was a member of the Prospect Grange, and a former member of the Prospect Planning and Zoning Commission, the Prospect Library Board and the Inland/Wetland Commission. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and baking. Mrs. DeLeon is survived by One Daughter: Deborah Russo of Pleasantville, N.Y. A funeral mass will be held on Friday June 4, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church 4 Union City Rd. Prospect. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery.There are no calling hours. The Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 26 Waterbury Rd. Route 69 Prospect is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Healthcare of Greater Waterbury, 50 Brookside Rd. Waterbury, Ct. 06708.
