Harwinton-James R. Cross, 55, passed away unexpectedly on May 10, 2014. Jim was born on September 8, 1958 in Waterbury, a son of Ralph and Edinna (Klies) Cross. He was a tool and die maker and in a family owned construction company. He was very accomplished in both fields. James is survived by his parents and his brother Ralph H. Cross. He is also survived by two aunts, Jacqueline Klies and Heidi Klies and six cousins, Jason Goldberg, Chris Goldberg, Aaron Goldberg, Sean Welch, Frederick Klies, Jr., and Eric Klies. He was predeceased by his fiancé Lisa Jannetty and his uncle Frederick Klies, Sr. James had a wonderful sense of humor. He was the one that made everyone laugh. He will be sorely missed. The funeral service for Mr. Cross will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, 1 East Main Street, Thomaston. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours and the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Rd, Rte. 69, Prospect is in charge of his arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the donors choice.
