Prospect – James O. Levine, 96, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2014 at VITAS at St. Mary’s Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Charlotte (Melendez) Levine. Mr. Levine was born on September 27, 1917 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Oscar and Agnes (Fallquist) Levine. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.), and was retired from the Risdon Manufacturing Company, where he was a toolmaker. Mr. Levine is survived by his four children, Cheryl Levine-Dermody and her husband William of Middlebury; Donna Levine-Nordstrom and her husband Gary of Arlington Heights, IL; Robert Levine and his wife Lynette of Springboro, OH and James Levine and his wife Marian of Middlebury. He will also be missed by his nine grandchildren, and his ten great grandchildren. The funeral service for Mr. Levine will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Anthony's Church, 4 Union City Rd, Prospect. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Rd, Rte. 69, Prospect on Monday evening from 5-7 p.m. The Veterans Council will pay their respects at 6:45 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made to: St. Vincent DePaul Society, P.O.
