Bethany - Mrs. Joann (Triano) Marcarelli, age 80, of 102 Rusell Road, died Tuesday December 29,2009 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was the wife of Alphonse Marcarelli. Mrs. Marcarelli was born in Bethany on August 18,1929 a daughter of the late Frank and Marie Triano. She was the co-owner along with her husband of the Countryside Restaurant Pool and Tennis Club for many years until her retirement and was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Woodbridge. Mrs. Marcarelli was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her loving family and many friends. Besides her husband, Mrs. Marcarelli is survived by two sons: Alphonse Marcarelli Jr. of Bethany and Pasquale Marcarelli of Bethany, three sisters: Susan Longo of Waterbury, Carol Mineo of Hamden and Jean Triano of Southbury, two brothers: Tony Triano of California and Joseph Triano, three grandchildren: Alphonse Marcarelli III, Nicholas Marcarelli, and Gabriella Marcarelli and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers: Pasquale Triano and Michael Triano and a sister: Rae Triano. Funeral services will be held on Sunday January 3,2010 at 3 p.m. at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 26 Waterbury Rd. Route 69 Prospect. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
