John F. Candido III Native of Waterbury Waterbury-John F. Candido, III, 59, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 13, 2010 in the Hospice unit at St. Mary’s Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. John was born October 4, 1951 in Waterbury and was the son of Marie (Migliaro) Candido and the late John F. Candido, Jr. Besides his mother, he leaves a daughter, April Candido and his grand daughter Arianna of Waterbury, a sister, Vicki Morehouse, brother-in-law Terry and nephew Jason of Prospect, and his brother Gary Candido of Waterbury. John was a 1969 graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Waterbury and attended Southern Connecticut State University. John was a former employee of Pratt & Whitney. He also helped his brother in Gary’s Refinishing business and was an ambitious worker who gave 100% at all times. John can best be remembered by his kind, gentle and easy going demeanor; always grateful for the simple pleasures in life. He found a great sense of accomplishment and satisfaction in his extraordinary abilities involving electronics and computers and became a self-taught wizard. The Candido family is especially grateful to his HOPE visiting nurse Bridget, AKA Brittney, for her support and kindness. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 9:45 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Rd, Rte. 69 Prospect to St. Peter and Paul Church in Waterbury for a mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Harold Leever Cancer Center, 1075 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT 06708. It was John’s wish to have his name on a leaf which will be displayed on the Memorial Tree in the lobby of the Cancer Center.
