John Martin

Prospect-John T. Martin, 60, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Carol A. (Clark) Martin . Mr. Martin was born on June 16, 1950 in Providence, RI a son of the late Raymond and Virginia (Gannon) Martin. He worked as a cable splicer for SNET for many years. He was a member of the ELKS Lodge in Naugatuck, the Prospect Senior Center, the Prospect Gun Club and the Saturday morning Boys Breakfast Club. He was a US Navy Veteran having served during the Vietnam era. Besides his loving wife of Prospect he is survived by two daughters, Nikki Martin and her life partner Paula Burofsky of Deltona, FL and Lindsey Tucker and her husband JT of DeBary, FL, one son, Michael DeCosa of Naugatuck, one sister, Renee Martin of Danbury, two brothers, Tim Martin and his wife Thea of New Fairfield, Daniel Martin and several nieces and nephews. His is also survived by his golden retriever Kobe. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Rd, Rte 69, Prospect. Burial will be private and held at a later date.
