Ken, Matt and Jehna, I am shocked as I write this. I just saw in the citizen's news, tonight, that Karen passed away recently. She was my mentor/teacher/role model. I am a fellow School Counselor, and did my internship with her at MES. I have very fond memories of Karen and learned so much from her. She is a big reason I decided to pursue my masters degree in school counseling. During my time interning with her we spoke alot about life, hopes, and dreams for the future. I know that she adored her family and loved you all so very much. Matt and Jehna- she was so very proud of you both and she beamed when she spoke of either of you. I am deeply saddened to hear of your loss. Karen was truely a very special woman. My heart breaks at the loss of your wife/mother. I wish you all strength at this time. With my deepest and heartfelt sympathy- Jaimee DeTullio Hustek

Dear Ken, Jehna, and Matt, I was shocked to just hear of your recent loss. I love your family and love your Mom. She was such a wonderful person. I know we have not been in personal contact for sometime, however, you were always in my heart. May God be with your family and comfort you through this tragic time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and I am so sorry for your loss. Rest in peace Karen. Look over us all:} Joy

Kindness is the word I most associate with Karen - she radiated it, and all those who came in contact with her were the better for it. My deepest sympathy to her husband, children and family.
