Kathleen Commendatore

Naugatuck, CT Kathleen T. Commendatore, 83, the widow of Angelo A. Commendatore, died peacefully on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Wolcott View Manor. Kathleen was born on June 25, 1932 in New Haven, CT a daughter of the late Patrick and Josephine (Higgins) McNally and had worked in banking for most of her career. Kathleen is survived by her son, Alan J. Commendatore, Sr., and his wife Mary Schmelcke; her son, Mark S. Commendatore and his wife Norma Commendatore; her 4 grandchildren, Amy Beth, Sarah, Alana and Alan Jr.; her great grandchildren, Paige and Jon and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents, Kathleen was predeceased by her sisters, Josephine Thomas, Sally Deschino and Patricia McNally. The family would like to thank the staff at Wolcott View Manor and at Seasons Hospice for the exceptional care and comfort they provided to Kathleen. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 11:00am at Grace Lutheran Church, 170 Coen Street. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue. To honor Kathleen’s memory, contributions may be made to the Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center, 1075 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT 06708.
