Lani White

Naugatuck - Mr. Lani Lee White, age 55, of 42 West Street laid to rest on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the VA Medical Center in West Haven. Mr. White was born on November 13, 1954 in Cincinnati, OH, son of the late Roy Lester and Betty Lee (Lanham) White. He worked as a forklift driver at Fasco Industries. He is a Veteran of the US Army having proudly served as a Short Range Missle Crewman, Infantryman, Drill Sargeant, and member of the 52nd Military Police Company. He achieved the rank of Sargeant, receiving many Army Commendation Medals and served with distinction at the Inaugration of President Jimmy Carter. He was also an avid member of the American Legions. He is survived by one son, Christopher White of Nicholasville, KY, two daughters, Stephanie Boswell of Louisville, KY and Tabitha Shepherd of Savannah, GA, one brother, Keith D. White of Naugatuck and 5 granchildren. A graveside service and burial with full military honors will be held on Thursday September 2,2010 at 2 p.m. at the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery Bow Lane Middletown, Ct. There are no calling hours. The Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 82 Fairview Ave. Naugatuck is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans 3030 Southwest Blvd. Kansas City, MO 64108.
