Prospect-Lorraine Ann (McLean) O'Connell, 88, passed away on May 11, 2012. She was the widow of William O'Connell . Mrs. O'Connell was born on July 13, 1923 in Waterbury a daughter of the late Raymond McLean and Edith (Bays) McLean. In the past she has worked for Farrel News in Waterbury, Kraft Cheese also in Waterbury and Ben and Art. Mfg. in Prospect. She was a follower and supporter of the Prospect Drum Corp for 10 years. Most of all Lorraine was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed cooking, bird watching and loved all animals. She is survived by son, Richard O'Connell and his wife Karen of Prospect, daughter, Dawn Mrazik and her husband Brian of Penbroke, NH, four grandchildren, Rachel and Kelly O'Connell of Prospect, Michele Notarangeli and her husband Carl of NH, and Cynthia Senecal and her husband Richard of NH. She also leaves one great-grandson, William Notarangeli of NH. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church, 4 Union City Rd, Prospect. Friends and family are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery. There are no calling hours and the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Rd, Rte. 69, Prospect is in charge of the arrangements.
